HackerEarth is pleased to announce its next webinar on IoT, to help you learn from the best programmers and domain experts from all over the world.
This webinar would help you understand that the more we connect online, the more we discover value in data. From pipeline sensors and remote medical devices to connected cities and cars, the Internet of Things (IoT) is reshaping our world. Targeted technology is improving our ability to gather and measure information. We can convert it to value faster through analytics applications that are evolving from prescriptive to predictive to cognitive approaches. Some call this new era of social, mobile, cloud and analytics technologies the Third Platform of IT, with IoT its main accelerator. Gartner estimates 25 billion devices will be connected to the Internet by 2020. An IoT platform can be a catalyst for innovation and competitive advantage through greater customer engagement, efficient new business models, and improved productivity for mobile workforce. But the struggle with the velocity, volume and variety of data is a huge challenge to this possibility. NetApp believes hybrid cloud will be the dominant IT model, and managing data from connected devices is a major challenge. Data management across the entire IT infrastructure is the key to unlocking value from the IoT.
The Speaker is Gaurav Makkar. He is a Technical Director in the Advanced Technology Group (ATG) of the CTO Office at NetApp. The ATG group is responsible for investigations, through early product prototypes, and leveraging technologies expected to become mainstream in 3+ years. Gaurav is currently responsible for leading investigations in the areas of low latency storage solutions, real-time analytics, and IoT. He has been at NetApp for nearly 10 years. His 23yrs of industry experience also involved creating products in the HPC space, creating software products for large telecom deployments, and creating systems software for complex system-on-chip offerings.
The Webinar is scheduled for 28th of September.
